Mariam Buzhgulashvili is a Georgian violinist, whose passion for music became clear from an early age. At the age of nine, she began her education in Tbilisi and by the end of her first year, was invited to perform with a symphony Orchestra at the age of ten. During her academic course, Mariam became a prize winner at the European Union music competition of youth, and was awarded grants to further for education in Germany and later in Poland. During this time, she gave several solo performances and participated in numerous orchestra collaborations.

After graduating from Tbilisi state conservatory, Mariam won a position with a Symphony Orchestra in the Netherlands. She also became actively engaged in solo and string Quartet performances throughout the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, France, Austria, and Slovenia. She had the opportunity to further develop her musical knowledge with world renowned musicians at master classes and music festivals.

Teaching has been a fundamental part of Mariam‘s musical career for over 10 years. Drawing on her extensive experience as a professional violinist and performer, she brings a combination of technical expertise, musical insight, and practical performance experience to her teaching. Her approach is highly personalized, with each students lessons thoughtfully shaped around their individual abilities, character, goals, and pace of development. She places particular importance on building a strong technical foundation, while nurturing, musicality, confidence, discipline, and a genuine appreciation for the instrument. For students pursuing a serious musical path, Mariam‘s experience as a professional orchestral and performing violinist provides an invaluable perspective on the standards, dedication, and artistry requires to develop to a high level.

Since 2015, Mariam has been pursuing her career in the United Arab emirates as both an educator and performer. In 2021, she won a position as a violinist with Firdaus Orchestra, a woman’s ensemble in the UAE founded with Oscar winning composer AR Rahman, where she continues her work to this day. As part of her recent orchestral career, she has performed and toured internationally, including tours through Lebanon, Canada, Saudi Arabia and India. Alongside her orchestral career, Mariam lives in Dubai, where she actively performs and teaches violin.
